One option would be to "link" to the file, rather than importing it into
Access.

You don't describe the data in the file ... how many fields, what type?

hi Jeff Boyce,

thanks for your reply. sorry that didnt describe the details for the file. i
need export the file from ubs which is the DO. so when i export the file,
there have 109 fields. but i just need 9 fields. i cant choose the field
which i want to export. i tick the DO to export, then it will come out all
the fields. it is a csv file. i cant use link because the file will export
everyday, due to they want to update the customer's order. if i use the link,
then after the update, i need delete the data, but it is lock. so that i
using import. when i import i was come out that error, but when i click
proceed, then it will automatic create a table which is name "Name
AutoCorrect Save Failures". then inside the table show the failure reason is
"could not save the save the object." why like this? what can i do? thanks!

Perhaps I'm not understanding your situation...

It sounds like you have a .csv file. I've successfully linked from an
Access database to a .csv file, replaced the .csv file with another using
the same name, and kept the link from within Access. What happens when you
try to do this?

If your Access database has "Name Autocorrect" turned on, consider turning
it off. In some earlier versions having this feature running caused
problems elsewhere (e.g., with Report Definitions).

Can you provide a bit more information?
