Images automatically re-sizing

Hi,

Please help me with an irritating problem (probably
already discussed but I've just discoverd this site and
couldn't face wading back through 1222 pages!).

I often need to insert multiple images onto a pptXP
slide. In previous versions, the images just stacked on
top of each other (just like I wanted them to). Now,
each new image automatically moves the others over, re-
sizes them and generally upsets my carefully designed
layout. It also happens to text boxes, which I then have
to laboriously re-size to the original position and font
size.

Is there a way of getting rid of this feature? Does
anyone actually find it helpful??

My crystal ball says you're using PPT 2002.

Head to Tools/Options (or Tools/Autocorrect or Tools/Customize, can't
remember which exactly). On one of the tabs, there are options for
Autolayout and Autofit text to placeholders. Turn those off. They're
evil. :)

Tools, AutoCorrect Options, AutoFormat as you Type tab, "Automatic layout
for inserted objects"

Remove the checkmark. Recenter your mind.
