I'm Finished with Norton - what about ZoneAlarm?

Although I admit that I never had any infections using NAV, I'm tired of the
stupid LiveUpdate problems, and especially the painfully slow, idiosyncratic
user interface.

I'm thinking of buying ZoneAlarm Security Suite. The free version seems
great. Anybody have any complaints about the full version?

I'm tired of payware and the endless yearly fees for updates.

So I dumped Norton AV and McAfee AV in favour of avast! AV free version
which has been running like a charm.

I'm not certain the ZoneAlarm Security Suite is available as a free
version, although I know the ZA firewall is.

You get a 15 day AV trial with the free Zonealarm.

But I'll check out avast. Thanks for the input.

Do you use Zone with avast? When I installed avast I got a message about
some incompatabilty issue with Zone Alarm.

I believe they have now corrected that problem.....something to do with
having privacy set to high in Zone Alarm causing slow web page loads I
think?

Using Avast with ZoneAlarm (free) on one of my pc's,.. since a recent
update (Avast?) it became slow and unstable.

I replaced (about 15 days ago) both by AntiVir & Kerio. This
combination seems to use even less system resources.
(Now awaiting the end of the 30 days Kerio trial)

Just be thankful you got those 105 years of protection and move on to
another product. :)
