I'm an idiot and need help with a VPN!

We have a small company with 4 computers in one state that are
networked that share a folder and the internet connection with another
computer in another state that connects to our shared folder via the
VPN.

Two weeks before Thanksgiving the one computer in the other state
crashed and needed the hard drive replaced so our computer guy came out
and set up the VPN again on her computer over the phone. He said he
need to do this so the hard drive and router could "talk to each
other again"...sounded logical enough to me. Everything worked great
for a while.

During the Thanksgiving break our router broke and we were told by the
ones who set up the VPN to buy a new one. Our four computers were back
in business except for the one computer in the next state. Our computer
guy said that everything is set up property yet she is still getting an
error message when she logs on. He said we have to much spy wear on out
computer and it won't let her in unless we get rid of it.

Huh?

Is there a way I can fix the problem? I have run every time of program
known to man and my system seems clean. Is there something I'm
missing.

Thanks in advance.

Assuming the computer can't establish the VPN, what's the error code?

Thank you for the reply, but does it matter if we use a D-Link router?
Also is this stuff we need to do at our end with the four computers or
just with hers?

Thanks
