Illegal Operation

Last Friday I was working in word...closed out and went to work in it again two hours later and got this message "This program has performed an illegal operation and will shut down. Please contact the vendor" So I restarted - same message, uninstalled Word and reinstalled -same message, fixed the errors in my installation - same problem, defragmented my computer same problem.

I am using windows 2000 and Word 2000...please help me if you have any idea how I can fix this!!!!
