IExplore causing error in User.exe

Just recently, I have been having trouble with IE6 causing
errors in User.exe. The error box that pops up
says: "Iexplore has caused an error in User.exe. Iexplore
will now close." Does anyone know what is going on? I
have just about decided to switch browers because of the
aggrivation of this continuing problem. Thanks in advance
for any help.

There's a good possibility that this is being caused by a third-party
program (adware, spyware, parasite).
