ie6 memory usage out of control

Hi, after installing xp sp2 ie6 seems to behave differently toward memory:
its mem usage(observed from Task Mgr) grows much faster with time and it
seemed never releases any unused memory. Is there a way to mitigate this? (I
usually open multiple ie windows with Ctrl-N, but even if I close most ie
windows the memory is not reduced).

Hi Vincent,
What your status of AVs and Anti-Spuyware is your Computer Clean from Both
abd you have the Latest Defs.
Check the Event Viewer for any RED crosses Error Messages from any
application.
How much RAM on your Computer, you need at least 512M of RAMs.
Hope this Helps

I have 512MB. My AV & AntiSpyware automatically download & install updates.
My computer is NOT running outofmemory. Only the iexplorer process's memory
usage is growing out of control.

Hi Vincent,
Try Double check against Malware/Viruses, it doesn't mean that your AV and
AntiSpyware are Up2date your system not or can't get infected!.
Then after that Try to Terminate the Processor which using more than 60% and
the one doesn't release it.
after that you what you can do is Reinstall or Repair IE6 from the
Add/Remove in the Control Panel on your Machine.
Do you have anew Hardware or software that depend on IE to update, rather
than the AV or Ms Updates on your machine installed recently, if so, what it
is.
