IE6 Hyperlink's Open & Close Immediatley

Explorer V.60.2800.1106.XPSP2.030422-1633

Clicking on hyperlinks causes the desired window to open
briefly and then close immediatley, no number of re tries
causes the desired window to open. I have to physically
copy the address to the address bar to open the page,
this is not confined to secure sites and it happens so
often on so many different sites that all of the links
can't be coruppted. I read somewhere that this might be
the legacy of a virus infection ?. Any ideas or help
appreciated.

I had a simmilar problem but it didnt happen that oftern
I never found the solution but i had to use my rescue
disc and that solved the problem and it did start to
happen just after i cleaned a virus

The first thing to do is to scan your system for the possibility of
unknown\unwanted spyware or parasites that may be causing your problem(s).
