IE6 encountered a problem and needs to chose(ntdll.dll)

Hi folks,
I really need your help!

I've had enough by the stupid IE6 these days. I've tried
all i was come up with like reinstalling IE6, installing
the lastest service pack, doing system file check,
reinstalling the whole OS. However, none of these work.
IE6 keeps crashing as usual.

I am not sure if this happened after I installed window
2000 service pack 4. However, it is the case that I can't
install adobe acrobat 6.0(works fine on service pack3) on
service pack 4.

Below is the two kinds of reports for IE6 crash.
1, Microsoft Internet Explorer can't find the
descriptions of Event ID (1001). No necessary
registration information or DLL file is available in local
computer to display messages from remote computer. Part of
the event contains the information below: 52466233.
2, Microsoft Internet Explorer can't find the
descriptions of Event ID (1001). No necessary
registration information or DLL file is available in local
computer to display messages from remote computer. Part of
the event contains the information below:
iexplore.exe, 6.0.2800.1106, ntdll.dll, 5.0.2195.6685,
00012373.

Unable to find your version of ntdll.dll on this database.

Make a copy of the current version. And try to extract a previous copy from
your cd.
