IE will not open

Tom Brown

I am unable to open IE6. But, each time I attempt it, I see my disk
activity light churning and I get an instance of it running in my Task
Manger/Applications. In other words, it looks like the computer thinks it
is running but I don't see anything.

I went into Control Panel/Internet Options and deleted all files (including
offline content) and cookies.

Still can't get into IE.

TIA,

Tom

Hi Tom,
Have you been able to open before or is it after you install software or
updates, Try Scan for Malwares/Viruses and do System Restore.
Hope this helps

Yes, I have been able to get into it recently and I don't recall installing
anything new. Also, I am able to get into IE when I click on a hyperlink in
an email. This is different from problems in the past where I couldn't do
the hyperlinks. But, now I can't get in directly.

I regularly run Spysweeper and Kaspersky AV and a few others like AdAware,
Spybot and CCleaner.

I got that symptom when I let jusched.exe run at Startup.
If you see that running try killing it. Use msconfig to disable it.
jusched.exe seems to be some kind of automatic updater
from Sun Java.
