Have you performed the basic cleanup on your computer, I.E. disk cleanup,
empty temp files/cookies/cache?
Have you run your AV programs? Do you have AV programs? Do you have a lot
of programs running in the background? If you have already done the
basics, and I.E. still is slow, post back.

Check for spyware, scan with SPybot and Adaware and for viruses. If th
slowdown general, run disk cleanup, empty ur cache, clear out all th
temp files and such, run the disk defragmenter, that should improv
response time

go to tools menu and then manage add ons disable any unwanted add ons

and then go to tools -> internet options and then programs and disable the
option of checking default browser

and if u have microsoft antispyware u can check if ur explorer has been
hijacked
