I have the problem of "This Page Cannot Be Displayed" when I try to access secure sites.
• If you are trying to reach a secure site, make sure your Security settings can support it. Click the Tools menu, and then click Internet Options. On the Advanced tab, scroll to the Security section and check settings for SSL 2.0, SSL 3.0, TLS 1.0, PCT 1.0.
I’ve already done that, too, except I don’t know what “PCT 1.0†is. Also I do not have the Blaster Worm.
I've paid good money for subscriptions to software programs and I have to go to the library to access my information to log on.
The following is what I have for my IE: Version 6.0.2800.1106.xpsp2.030422-1633IC
Cipher Strength - 128-bit, Product ID 55736-OEM-5525121-04906, Update Versions:
SP1, Q822925, Q330994, Q828750, Q811383
All I've been doing for the last 4 days is try to access secure pages, and I've downloaded when I thought was needed, but it's not working. I've done all of the procedures, including deleting my user profile which took many hours to do, and re-registering the .dll files, etc. I have now restored my system to an earlier date, hoping that would work, but I feel I'm still back where I started with nothing resolved !! Everything it starting to look like Greek to me and I don't know what to do or how to fix the problem. What am I doing wrong?
Also my IE still shuts down after session work.
