No MSN and can't view Secure sites

hi

I recently found my MSN messenger would no longer log on to it's server. About 5 minutes later I notices I cannot view HTTPS (secure) pages in Internet Explorer. I've been told these are related, but nobody seems to know how to restore the psrt of XP (or IE) that allows Secure server pages

Any help would be very very welcome

Thanks

Hope this helps you

In Internet Explorer -
1. Tools > Internet Options > Advanced
2. Scroll down to the Security Settings.
3. Make sure that the two boxes are checked that say
"Enable SSL 2" or "Enable SSL 3".
Try your secure sites.

Another thing you can try is:
Go to start/run
Type in: regsvr32 softpub.dll
