IE reinstall

I started getting runtime errors when I go into to web
sites so I decided to reinstall IE 6 as per the knowledge
base help section. I downloaded IE6setup.exe, Executed
the program and it started to download components and
then it started to install. 10% into installing web
browser I get a message that the program has not passed
windows logo testing. What is this all about? this is a
windows update taken from microsofts site. Any
suggestions? Thanks for your help in advance.

Hi Frank, thanks for the info, I do not have kb823559 in
the add/remove programs. It does appear in the registry
under Hot Fix and in a section for SP2. I do not see a
method to uninstall as in other hotfixes. Any other
suggestions for reinstalling IE 6?
