IE Registry Key

I am trying to load OuickBooks on my Windows 2000 machine
but I keep getting an error that I need to Have IE 5.5 or
newer. I am running IE 6.1 already. Where is the registy
key located that the software reads to find the version?

This really isn't a registry problem. Best to get in touch with the
application developer.

I had a similar issue with MSDE 2000. Turned out that the security
permissions on the registry key did not allow proper access. I changed it
to Full Control for everyone and then I could load the beast.
Look under HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE for IE or Internet Explorer(I forget which
one it really is) and maybe current user also.
