IE opens 2 browser windows

When I enter an URL in the taskbar address bar, and click GO or press
Return, it opens 2 windows, one of which is sometimes blank. Yet once
browsing it seldom happens again; it only seems to happen the first ever
time I want to enter an URL. Only the address bar on the taskbar seems to be
affected; the address bar in the browser doesn't cause this behaviour.

I'm using Internet Explorer 6 but thanks to BT Yahoo, all broadband
customers with BT are required to have a fully-integrated browser - the BT
Yahoo browser (with added popup blocker which is it's only saviour!). Maybe
this is causing it.

Hi Tim,
If you are sure the problem you are having with Internet Explorer is down to
the Bt Yahoo browser being installed then you can safely uninstall it. It is
NOT a requirement for BT Yahoo Broadband customers to have the Yahoo browser
installed. I for one, Never use it and I know many others that don't bother
with it either. When you first install the Bt Broadband software, having the
Yahoo Browser is optional. You can still use the Bt Yahoo pop-up blocker
and spam guard with IE6, no problems!
