IE not working

We have 2 pc's connected to the internet via a broadband router. Both are
running XP SP2. One is fine but one (MINE!) just won't access any web page.
However I try to do it, either via a link in an email or by directly typing
the address in, I get
The page cannot be displayed.
I have run spybot, I've cleared out the cache, I've refreshed several times,
I've turned off and left it for 10 mins, I've checked the ISP on the other
pc (says service is working properly), so what's happened to it in the last
couple of hours???

Running one anti-spyware program is usually not enough, even if it has been
updated the same day.

If you can't download anything, you're most likely not running Ad-aware and
Spybot with the most recent definitions > You're wasting your time and you
may well have a hijackware infestation. Use the other machine to download
updates and install them manually on the afflicted machine.

When all else fails, HijackThis v1.99.1
(http://aumha.net/downloads/hijackthis.zip) is the preferred tool to use.
It will help you to both identify and remove any hijackware/spyware. **Post
