IE, msn messenger & yahoo pager

Have a problem viewing web pages, cannot retrieve email,
canot connect to yahoo pager or msn messenger. Nothing
appears on the web pages, you receive a dsn error, email
will not open, and messengers will not connect. Have
checked the modem in hardware settings and it is working
fine. Looked up help pages and done a ping and traceroute
exercise. Ping threw back an unknown host error and
traceroute threw back unable to resolve target sytem
error, tried various websites for these exercises
including blueyonder, yahoo, msn etc. Reinstalled ISP
software and IE again but to no avail. Has anyone
experienced this or know of a solution to this problem?

I am having the same problem with Hotmail. I just cannot
access my account. I always get "Cannot find server. The
page cannot be displayed" error. However a friend using my
PC is able to access his Hotmail account! I don't have
problems surfing other sites though.
