Meeksxx,

Take a look at these links:

Darnit - Homepage Hijacking

Darnit - Bugs, Glitches, and Stuffups

You might consider getting a program to circumvent these types of problems.
Or at least to remedy them should they arise.

Spybot S & D

Ad-Aware
http://www.lavasoftusa.com/

SpywareBlaster
http://www.javacoolsoftware.com/spywareblaster.html

You needn't install all three of these; Ad-Aware is the simplest that you
can get, whist being effective. SpywareBlaster prevents the installation of
Spyware, and Spybot S & D does a good job at fixing the problems. You should
probably try the Ad-Aware program first. After downloading the program.
update it through the internal update feature. *Read the help files for it*,
and then run the program. Same is to be said for Spybot S & D, only more so.
Be sure to *read the help files and tutorial*. Install any updates, and run
the program. SpywareBlaster is relatively easy to configure, but still *read
the Help Files!*

Have you tried using the Reset Web Settings in Internet Explorer? You will
find it under the Programs tab in Internet Options.

If there is Spyware, Malware - Homepage Hijackers aboard the PC, you can
reset it as much as you like, and the hijacking application will reset it
back again. Best to get rid of the pests; then when the homepage is set to
what it should be it stands a far greater chance of staying put.
