IE History

How do I keep personal files on my hard drive from showing up in IE6 history?
It appears, everytime I open IE and check the history, the 'My Computer'
folder is there and all files I've accessed/created are in the IE history.
If I need one of these file I can go to 'Recent Documents,' so don't need
them in the history. My setting is 'keep for 0 days', however, IE doesn't
alway recognize that.

Hi,
I really don't think that you can prevent the My Computer folder from being
created within the IE History folder.

The "0 days" setting for History means that the History files will be
deleted when the machine is started the next day (after midnight I suppose.)

You can, however, get a software package that will protect your personal
files...
such as Norton Internet Security...
it doesn't allow this use of personal files...and the files it does allow,
will not be viewed outside your computer...
:)
