IE does not open

nadeem

hello Mr MVP,

I am running win2k professional in a networked environment
with Windows2000 Advanced server as DC. No application
level restrictions are implemented in group policy of DC.
when IE is opened on the client machines by a domain
users, it doesnot open and display the following error
messages on various client machines.

1. "IEXPLORE.exe has gegerated errors and will be closed
by Windows. You will need to restart the program".

2. "The instruction at "0x77f8aa57" referenced memory
at "0x00000034". The memory could not be "read".
Click on OK to terminate the program.
Click on CANCEL to debug the program.

and once cancel is clicked the following message appears
under the heading of Microsoft Visual C++

"Unhandled exception in IEXPLORE.EXE (NTDLL.DLL):
0xC0000005: Access Viiolation".

OK, the best part is that when the same application is
opened by the local administrator or domain administrator
it works perfectly fine.

I have 60 client computers with win2kpro and sp4 almost
40+
are having the same problem.

plz help me out with this coz it is a school and students
suffer a lot due to this. and we use ISA2000 enterprise
edition as a proxy with a high speed DSL connection.
