The above information shows that your computer is getting its IP and DNS
addresses automatically from the Buffalo router. You would need to look
at the Buffalo router's configuration (usually you do this in a
browser; consult your router manual if you don't know how) to see what
DNS the router is getting from the DSL modem. I would troubleshoot this
way, testing after each step and if that step fails going on to the
next step:
1. Unplug the DSL modem and the router. Shut down the computer. Now
power up the DSL modem, then the router, then the computer. You may
need to do Start>Run cmd [enter] then type
ipconfig /release [enter]
ipconfig /flushdns [enter]
ipconfig /renew [enter]
2. If the above does not work, try a different ethernet cable. If that
does not work, connect the ethernet cable from the computer to a
different port on the router. You many need to repeat the commands
above.
3. If the above does not work, repeat Item #1 but connect the computer
directly to the DSL modem, bypassing the router. Do the commands also.
If this works, you know something is wrong with the router.
4. If Item #3 does not work, change your computer's DNS settings from
automatic and manually enter SBC's DNS addresses. You can use the ones
you got from the router's configuration or you would need to get them
from SBC.
See where you get with doing some of that.
