IE Big text and images

I have Windows XP home SP2. I have been hacked and someone has left files in
java that contain viruses. I have uninstalled java and think the problem is
solved. What has happened is that they have messed with IE and some other
programs. I have been able to fix by completely uninstalling and
re-installing, except IE, everything witch has fixed everything else. Some
pages in IE only. (Firefox is ok) have big text and images like yahoo and
Microsoft’s sites. I have uninstalled and reinstalled IE in add remove
programs but to no avail. before i go formatting this hard drive again I
would like to know if there are any fixes and if so all fixes.

Thanks

Possibilities only:

Control Panel/Accessibility/Display/
Ensure box is not check - then click "Advanced"
Ensure shortcut box is not clicked AND
where it reads" Your current high contrast scheme is:"
Make sure there is nothing in there that starts with "high contrast" or suggests a
large font size"
and/or
Open Internet Explorer and go to the Tools menu, then choose Internet Options.
Click the Accessibility button.

There are two entries:
"Ignore font style on web pages" and
"Ignore font size on web pages".
Try changing these settings (put a check there if there isn't one now, or remove the
check if there is one).

sorry but it didnt help. messed with accessibility options, I didnt think it
was this since the other browsers and windows itself didn't change. messed
with IE's options and still nothing. its just on some web pages where in
Firefox thay are normal size and IE the text in the web pages huge (not in
address bar or anything else just whats on the page). ex. im running a screen
resolution that makes pages fit in the browser. IE now wont fit yahoo's web
page all the way and in firefox it is the way it was before and the way IE
should was.

At the same accessibility options, disable style sheet usage if anything
appears there.

Considering the fact that images are also affected, you should update your
screen resolution and check all video card settings.
