IE 6 take 20 - 30 seconds to start

Tom

Whenever I start IE it takes 20 - 30 seconds to appear.
Once it appears if seems to work fine. This also occurs
when I right click a link and choose "Open in new window"
I've tried clearing temp files and running anti-virus and
spyware scans. Please help.

I'm having the exact same problem. Any time a new IE window opens, the
entire system hangs for *at least* 20 seconds. After that it runs
fine. I've run S&D, AdAware, CSWShredder, Norton Antivirus, all found
nothing. I've got the very latest updates on definitions for all of
the above, and the latest IE6 patches.

What gets me is that it just started doing this ... It's never done it
before. I didn't change anything in my system, and didn't load any new
software between when it didn't do this and when it did.

What gives?

ANY help appreciated!!!

Go to: http://mvps.org/winhelp2002/unwanted.htm
Download "Hijack This!" [freeware]

Unzip, double-click "HijackThis.exe" and Press "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log"
button.
Click: "Save Log" (generates: "hijackthis.log")

Next, go to the below location:
http://www.spywareinfo.com/forums/

Sign in, go to the "Spyware and Hijackware Removal" section.
Press "New Topic", copy and paste hijackthis.log into your new message.
