ie 6 loads - continues for 30 seconds then shuts

this is a realtively new problem - just started 2 days ago
after i loaded a security patch ( latest i gather) -

the problem is as follows

1) ie loads
2) stays up for between 5 and 30 seconds
3) closes

any ideas ?

if not - how do you ininstall ie 6 from xp home edition?

IE 6.

Try this: Tools > Internet Options > Advanced > Browsing
Uncheck the Enable 3rd party browser extensions

If this clears your problem then find out who the culprit(s) is/are with
these tools.
