IE 6 startup

I just installed the SP 2 for XP, and now many of my internet based
applications won't work. Example, when I click on IE 6 it comes up and then
immediately shuts down. Same with Kazaa, and Weatherbug. Netscape works fine
though. Is there anything I can do except uninstalling the SP 2 update?

I also have the same problem. I uninstalled SP2 and re-installed again with
no success. I also tried re-installing SP2 in Safe Mode as well, and it
still does not work. Any help would be appreciated...

I finally resolved this problem by reading up on earlier posts. I used
Ad-Aware, CW Shredder and Spy Bot to clean out some spyware and re-installed
SP2 and my IE 6 works fine. Hope this helps.
