IE 6 SP-1 Update PROBLEM

D

DeeTee

I have XP Professional SP-1, and just downloaded multiple
security updates from Windows Update including a SP-1 for
I/E. During this, I got a message something like "the
product you're trying to install has not been logo tested
with Microsoft" or somesuch. Now my Internet Explorer
crashes, and I can't uninstall the update. Microsoft's
grand solution is to install SP-2, which I would do if my
Internet Explorer worked...it doesn't!

HELP!

Go to Add/Remove Programs and highlight your Internet Explorer. Click Remove
and a pop-up will appear giving you the option to repair it.

Stay away from SP2 until they get the bugs out.

A good browser to have handy is Firefox. It's free at www.mozilla.org and
isn't tied into Windows like IE is. It looks and works similar as far as
features go, it's a bit better.
