IE 6 & Flash Player

I am using IE 6 and have Flash Player 9 installed. However, on some web sites
the site will not load and I get the error message to either download flash
player or that I need to update to version 8 or higher (last time I looked, 9
was higher than 8). This does not happen on all web sites - many work just
fine. How do I correct this?

Try running FlashRepair: http://docxp.mvps.org/b1n/FlashRepair.exe
From http://docxp.mvps.org/Download.htm
If still no joy, try uninstalling Adobe Flash Player:

"How to uninstall the Adobe Flash Player plug-in and ActiveX control".
Then reinstall Adobe Flash Player:

I've just had a pig of a job when my Flash went belly up, no sound after
similar problems to the OP, I found a fix via Google to add to the
registry and now it works fine.

Vince,
I used that repair flash player and all it told me was that it couldn't
find the flashplayer.ini file. I'm using version 9 as well and was thinking
of downgrading to ver. 8 instead. I have windows ME running on my laptop with
IE 6 on it. I have all the updates installed from Microsoft.

My advise is not accept Yahoo! Toolbar offer.
