IE 6 default home page problem

My IE 6 homepage keeps defaulting to some search page
that I have never specified. I can go into tools and
change it back to my selected home page, but after I
close the browser and open another one later in the day
it has reverted to this same search page. Does this
sound like some sort of spyware of virus. Any
suggestions on how to get rid of this? I have looked at
the system registry but haven't found anything that looks
like it corresponds to the search site.

similiar problem down the page a bit... should have read
