IE 6.0 SP2 - "Error on Page"

B

Bob Brown

I'm having a problem with MS Internet Explorer 6 with Service Pack 2
installed, I'm running under XP Home Edition.

When I try to use one site, I get a message at the bottom left part of the
screen indicating that there is an error. It says "Error on page". When I
double click on it I get a window that pops up that says:

Line: 455
Char: 1
Error" Object expected
Code: 0
URL: (There is a long page address that is not important to this problem,
I'll explain below)

The page is supposed to bring up a list of purchase transactions but it
doesn't do it.

It's not a problem with the web site because if I log onto XP under my wifes
settings, the web page works correctly. I've looked at all security setting
and Internet options but nothing stands out as being the cause of the
problem.

What would cause this to work under my wife's logon session, but not mine?

Go to Tools | Internet Options | Advanced.
Check the box to Disable script debugging.
Uncheck the box to Display a notification about every script error.

Well I fixed it but I don't know how! I tried everythimg with no success. I
did "delete history" and deleted cookies in IE 6.0 and it cleared up but I
swear I did that once before and it did not clear up. I'm sure it will
happen again.
