ie 6.0 hangs up on opening

i have been having problems with ie 6.0 when i try to open it to access the web. It doesnt happen all the time but often enouhg to be annoying. here are a couple of the errors i have gotten -

This is probably being caused by third party programs- malware/parasites.
Work through the solutions (CWShredder, Ad-aware, Spybot) at

First eliminate any scumware.
