I'd love to get rid of Roxio......Please help!

It's probably due to the fact that I have the most basic version (5.1 now
updated to 5.3).

I would just like to burn photo cd's with the XP programs and not have Roxio
installed on my computer at all. When ever I try to uninstall Roxio (Add &
Remove Programs) it takes the drivers away from my cd drive and they are not
recognized in "My Computer". All I can do is use System Restore to get them
back. Also, when the Roxio is gone (and the drivers) the registry is littered
with Roxio entries which prevents the XP drivers to take control of the cd
drive.

I hope this makes more sense to you then it does to me?

Current system:
Gateway G500
winXP Pro
1.5 ghz processor
60G HD
CDRW = Lite-On LTR 16102B

John,
I've read through the article at
http://kb.roxio.com/content/kb/Creator/EEZ000182. Is it safe to say
that the winXP drivers will take over the cdrom after the Clean
Uninstall is complete? Thanks,
Robert

Hard to say, maybe the MSKB articles will
offer some ideas if you still have issues.
