that to a post.

I have a couple of points,
1. Your IP address is a public IP address owned by Bowling Green State
University in Bowling Green OH, if this is not you I suggest you implement a
private address scheme.

Is "checkpt.com.br" the domain name in AD Users & Computers?
Do you have a Forward Lookup zone in your DNS server for that exact name?

I notice also that you have "com.br" listed in your DNS Suffix search list,
is that name physically in your ipconfig? If not then I suggest that you
uncheck "Append parent suffixes of the Primary DNS suffix" this is on the
DNS tab in TCP/IP properties. This setting if "com.br" is not a local
domain, which I'm sure it is not will send a query to the com.br DNS servers
and slow down resolution.

Yes, deselect "Append parent suffixes of the primary DNS suffix"
You do not need to append this DNS suffix, it is a public suffix it only
slows you down.

I guess my next question should be how often do you get the 5781 logged?

I followed your instructions. But continue still
with the same Events.

Let's see the netlogon.dns file so I can see the "invalid" entries.

I think I see the invalid entries in this file and I am not sure where they
are coming from. See the entries with the "SERVER$", CHECKPT. and with the
"SERVER"?
That would indicate it is trying to register in a domain for those names.

What I want you to do is delete the netlogon.dns and netlogon.dnb restart
the netlogon service to see if they come back.
