ICS client gets no dialup icon

How can I get an Internet Connection icon under the
clients Network Connections on an ICS network?

XP Pro home network, using ICS and ICF, dialup.

"Server" has 2 NIC's + modem. Using Network Setup Wizard
+ allow other network users to control or disable the
modem (no automatic dialup).

1st try: Client gets an icon under Network Connections,
all works. Perfect!

2nd try: Changed my modem's com port, used Network Setup
Wizard on both computers again, but client gets no icon.
Server can connect, and client too, but client can not
initiate a connection.

Tried setting my modem back to original com port, no dice
(that should not matter anyway, I'm sharing the modem and
it works on the server).

BTW, "Discovery and Control" - where is that found?

I'm lost, appreciate help :)

The "Internet Gateway Discover and Control Client" is an option component
you can find in Control Panel / Add/Remove Programs / Windows Components /
Networking Components. Or something close to that, I'm working off memory.

If that is installed, make your SSDP Discovery Service is running.

If it is, this often ends up being a firewall, virus scanner, VPN client on
the client machine. If you have one you might try uninstalling it.
