Icons have border and names look highlighted.

I have a picture as wallpaper on my desktop.
On the desktop icons appear to have a thin border around them.
This border changes color if I change the color of my desktop
(although the color change is otherwise unnoticeable because
of the wallpaper I am using).

The names of the icons also appear highlighted. The highlight
does not change color when I change the desktop color.

Anyone know how I shut this off?

Hi,

I assume you want to enable drop shadows on the desktop icons. Consider the following checkpoints:

1) Right click on desktop >> arrange icons by >> uncheck "Lock Web items on desktop"

2) Right click on My Computer >> Properties >> Advanced tab >> Settings under 'Performance' >> check
"Use drop shadows
for icon labels on desktop".
