ICONS ASSOCIATED WITH JPEGS BMP - WHERE IS MY SUNSET ICON

I recently opened a .jpg with MICROSOFT OFFICE PICTURE MANAGER (MOPM)- a
program I didn't even "know" existed. Now, my sunset icons have an "little
MOPM icon" in the upper lefthand corner. How DO I get rid of this icon
sitting on top of the sunset icon? I already did the association thing where
the files will OPEN with what I want and not MOPM.

Any ideas?

Thanks....NORM

What program used the Sun icon?
Right click>OPen With
Pick that program, check off always open with this program.

Hi "NOTME"

I want the PICS to open with LVIEW and I have already done what you
suggested below. The ICONS (whatever icon it may be associated with a
picture file, gif, bitmap, jpeg, etc.) have the ICON for Microsoft Office
Picture Manager in the upper left hand corner of the specific icon itself -
follow me? You have one icon sitting on top of part of another ICON.

That is my problem.

Change the icon in Explorer-View-Folder Options-File Types to use
Lview.

HI ALAN: I've already done that.

The problem is, when I save a picture from any source, the ICON shows the
little MICROSOFT OFFICE PICTURE MANAGER icon over the SUNSET icon. I just
want to see the regular SUNSET icon or the regular BITMAP icon as used to.
