Icon instead of Photos

[Photos not Icons]

When I open the Documents>My Pictures I get icons as a thumbnail instead of
showing the photos What do I have to do to get the photos.

Does it help if you open the folder
and go to...View / Thumbnails?

Thanks, First for getting involved.
No, I tried that prior to requesting help. The only thing I get is an icon
with jpg on it no photo. It has to be in some setting I don't know about.

Since you are posting in an XP group...
I have to guess you are running XP?

OK...maybe you don't know about this:

There is a registry patch at the link below
that *might* solve your problem.
