Icon has vanished

Normally, when I "Create Shortcut to the Desktop", the icon on the desktop
is a large E with a little shortcut arrow in the lower left.

Now, when I create a shortcut, I only get the little arrow, but no stylized
"E".

How can I get my normal icons back for my shortcuts?

-> Change icon
