I've been trying to install Win2000 to a quiet new spec computer but old harddisk (40 GB, 7200 rpm, ATA, reformatted). A couple of minutes later in a blank blue screen there's error message: 'File \i386\ntkrnlmp.exe could not be loaded. The error code is 4...

Anybody knows the problem? Thanks

Yeh, it's a problem with your CD-ROM drive. Copy the entire i386 folder to
your hard drive and install from there.

Copy the directory, change to it, and then execute the winnt program.
