Hi

My question might be bit long so please read carefully

I have Windows Server 2003 Standart Edition and I also install MS SQL Server 2000 Enterprise. I use the "Configure Your Server Wizard" and set the Active directory. I also install MS Visual Studio .Net 2003. Only when I install the VS.NET 2003 everything went perfect except I get an error that saying

"[02/25/04,17:07:30] Visual Studio .NET Enterprise Architect 2003 - English: [2] ERROR: Error 5000.HrVSAnalyzerCAH(): Error is Visual Studio Analyzer Setup failed: Visual Studio Analyzer user creation not attempted on Primary or Backup Domain Controller.

After this error it complete the installation and I just restart the pc to see if it is major error. My MS Visual Studio .Net 2003 workd well. Then I try to install Companion CD for;
" MCAD/MCSD Self-Paced Training Kit: Microsoft .NET Core Requirements,
Exams 70-305/70-315, 70-306/70-316, 70-310/70-320, and 70-300

I try to install the "WebApps2" files and book into my computer for studying and I recevie the Error 1609

"Error 1609. An error occurred while appliying security settings. ASPNET is not a valid user or group. This could be a problem with the package or a problem connecting to a domain controller on the network....

I install smae cd in to my Laptop that runs Win 2000 Pro and CD workd well. But when I check the Active Directory I couldn't find any user or group that has name ASPNET. When I install the .Net Framework in my Laptop (Win 2000 Pro) it install the ASPNET account correctly. In my server I have the "Microsoft .NET Framework 1.1" and I also install the ASP.NET part when I install the IIS 6.0

Noew I have no idea why the acoount name ASPNET not install correctly. I also do not know where I have to get help. I thought the dotnet.general forum might be right place. If I am wrong please either help me to find solution or show me the way (correct link/ forum etc...) where I can get right answer

I thank you all

Hello,

When you install VS.NET, and choose the Visual Studio Analyzer, setup will
attempt to create a windows account for the Analyzer to use, however, if you
are installing on a Domain Controller (like your machine), then setup can
not create such account. Anyway this documented in the redame file in you
VS.NET CD/DVD.

BTW, this is not an error, it's just a warning.
