I think my home page has been hijacked! Need help!!!!!

Hi...My home page has been changed automatically to about:blank. I've
changed it numerous times back to my original home page, but each time i
reboot or close out the page, when I click back onto internet explorer, i get
the same about:blank page. It's a home search page that has no address, and
has pop-ups all the time. When i clicked on Privacy Report, it show me an
address of http://www.v61.com/cgi-bin/v2/counter/hp?21259. When i do a
search on yahoo, a page pops open in another window with this address
http://search-to-find.com/sec.php?qq=hit&pin=21259 that yields no relevant
results except ads.

Also, it seems to just mess up my internet explorer and it's just not
working the same as it used to.

Now i don't really know much about the technical stuff on the computers, is
this something i can resolve on my own? or is this something i need to get
technical support for? i've seen some of the posts here, but i am not
computer savvy to understand what to do.

Can anyone explain how i can go about this in layman's terms? Any help is
greatly appreciated. I am so sick of that webpage.

Download and run CWShredder, remove all that it finds.
Next download and run HijackThis - run a scan and post your log file
in an expert forum for analysis.

I spent yesterday w/same thing. I think I need to check
for spyware, etc. I downloaded SP2, but every time I try
to get into MS IE, I either get the Blank page or it
tries to launch at the
following: "badurlgrandstreet.com" or something like
this (i have it written down at home). Also I can't
control the pop us and then is just takes forever to get
rid of them and the blankpage....Is the problem spyware
or adware that needs to be checked for and removed??
