I receive 3000 old emails suddenly

Guys, I need help:

I use hosted email service, and every now and then, no warning, me or my
colleagues, suddenly receive anywhere between 1000 or 5000 old emails, dating
back sometimes 1-2 years.

My host, www.one.com says that it is a MS OFFFICE problem, but we run
different MS 2003 and MS 2007 in English, Malaysian and Danish among our
staff, and all suffer from this headache from time to time.


What the heck is going on?

If you log on to web mail are all these msgs shown / available?
If not I would suggest a problem with the server
