I no longer can open internet explorer and now have to use netscape

i dont know what is going on but when i try to open
internet explorer it at the bottom just blinks over and
over like it is trying to find yahoo and when it is finally
done it doesnt open a page, i had a friend assist me he
downloaded netscape and i now have to use that to get to
the internet i dont know why internet explorer isnt working
or how to fix it could someone please email me and tell me?

First eliminate any scumware.

Note that AdAware and SpyBot S & D will each catch some things the other
won't. Also, each need to be updated before every use, even when just
downloaded. There's also a lot more to do than just those two programs.

If trying everything at that site does not fix the problem please post back
in the same thread.
