To load WinXP, you need to put the WinXP CD into your
CD drive, then turn on your PC and follow the prompts.

Enter the BIOS and make sure that the first booting device is from
CD-ROM,save the settings and restrat your machine.Put the installation
CD i.e. original XP CD inside your CD-ROM and simply follow the
on-screen insturction and proceed accordingly.

That means there is no bootable disk in the CDROM drive
"Serching for boot record from floppy. . Not found"

That means there is no bootable diskette in the 3.5 diskette drive.
"Serching for boot record from IDE-O. . OK"

That means there is a hard drive connected as Primary Master (IDE-0)
and it has at least one partition on it that might be capable of
booting the computer.

I havent got past this yet nomater what iv tried iv evan left the computer

That indicates that the hard drive information has been damaged or
modified in some way so as to prevent the computer from booting from
the hard drive.

needed to boost from it but thats not the case.

Oooooh. Bad choice. Norton GoBack is, in my opinion, the worst
possible program anyone could install on their computer. (Second
worst, again in my opinion, is any other Norton/Symantec product).

When you boot your computer, do you get a message (from GoBack) about
pressing a key (spacebar?) if you want to boot from a CDROM or
Diskette? Or does it not get that far.

The problem is that GoBack totally takes over your hard drive and if
you try to do anything to the hard drive without GoBack first being
active then you risk losing everything on the drive.

So we need to find out *exactly* what happens when your computer tries
to boot from the hard drive, and especially the last message(s) that
come up on the screen before it stops booting.

Good luck
