Hello,
I would like to have a google mail account. Unfortunately I don't know
someone
who has already an gmail account and can send me an invitation.
If there is someone willing to send my an invitation (by email to
(e-mail address removed))
it would be very nice.
I didn't know anything about Google Mail but
http://mail.google.com/support/bin/static.py?page=switchguide.html&switch=1
tells you how to switch from your own account to Google Mail.
I have just looked at their online publicity
http://mail.google.com/mail/help/why_gmail.html there is a heading "(4)
Filing email is not the best use of your time" which goes on to say:
"Storing mail in folders with subfolders and nested sub-sub folders is not a
productive way to spend your day. What's the point? With Gmail, you can find
an entire email exchange organized as a conversation, just by searching for
keywords that appear in any one of the emails that's part of it. If you
want, you can further organize your messages by creating labels for them."
Well actually I do want to browse a whole group of unrelated emails eg job
applications which are not necessarily a thread - and the folder system is
great for that.
One can only do a search if one actually remembers the right search terms!
