Make sure you don't logout when you leave the site because then
obviously the cookie will remember that state and make you log back in
on your next visit. That also means that anyone using your computer
will be able to automatically login without using a username and
password.

Make sure your cookie management (Internet Options -> Privacy) is set to
keep 1st party cookies. You should have to keep 3rd party cookies
(i.e., other-domain cookies) and to keep per-session cookies.

Are you sure that you are not running a cookie manager? Products like
PopUpCop and PestPatrol include cookie management plus you can get
separate cookie managers, like CookieWall. Could be a feature of your
firewall (I use Norton's and it has a cookie block function but which I
don't use because I prefer the above cookie settings in IE plus PopUpCop
has whitelisting for cookie domains and all others get forced to be
per-session cookies and get deleted when the last instance of IE is
closed). Only you know what all software you have installed or even
what version of Windows you are using.

I have allowed all cookies. Some sites (live365.com) keeps asking me to log
in. I never log out when I leave. I am running McAfee Personal Firewall Plus
and I do not see any settings for cookies.
