I keep getting a page of lines

I've been doing my work this morning and all of a sudden, one of my documents
ends up having a "background" of lines. This isn't set up as a background
and the lines don't actually print. When I open up a new blank document, the
"blank" page is also completely lined, almost like stationary. Although the
lines aren't printing, this is extremely distracting as I type. I don't know
how to get rid of this, as it's not showing up in my formatting nor is it set
up as a background.

The problem could be that you have somehow turned on gridlines:
In the Drawing toolbar, select Draw > Grid. Is “Display gridlines on screenâ€
turned on? If yes, turn it off - and you need to save the changed setting in
Normal.dot: in the Drawing Grid dialog box, click the Default button and
click Yes in the dialog box that opens. Click OK twice. To save Normal.dot,
press and hold the Shift key and select File > Save All. If a dialog box
opens, asking whether you want to save changes to Normal.dot, click Yes.

Thank you! That did it! I have no idea how I managed to do that, since I
don't use the drawing toolbar at all, but my computer acts on its own
sometimes. Thank you again!
