I have a problem

When I try to run Ms_Dos on windows xp by going to star-up>run>cmd. I get an
error messages by the Ms_Dos Subsystem saying

C:\WINDOWS\system32|cmd.com
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal insturction
CS:0579 IP: 0102 OP: 0f 04 30 3c 39 Choose 'Close' to terminate the
application or Ignore.

When I click Ignore is says

C:\WINDOWS\system32\cmd.com
The NTVDM CPU has encountered an illegal instruction.
CS: 0156 IP: 04df OP: 0f a 700 22 00 Choose 'Close' to terminate the
application

Now if I click Ignore again it terminates it anyway like Close would

So I can't use Ms-Dos, how can I fix this ?

Um .. actually the real command prompt is CMD.exe not CMD.com try running it
by typing CMD.exe from run or by running it directly at
C:\Windows\System32\Cmd.exe .. also try checking your computer with an
antivirus for a possible virus infection
