I fired Word...

I fired Word as my e-mail Editor because it can't get over its compulsive
spell-checking of the message I am replying to.

But I would really like to have a modicum of control over fonts. Bold,
underline and subscript would be enough.

Can I do this with OL VBA? I'm working with Word 2002 and OL 2002.

Thanks.

If you use WordMail, you can use the Word object model for full control over
the formatting of the message content.

If you don't use WordMail, for HTML formatted messages you can modify the
HTMLBody property by setting one big string containing the HTML tags that
formats section of the content as you desire.

For Rich Text messages, you'd need to use the SafeInspector Object from
Redemption (http://www.dimastr.com) to format the rich text content.

Maybe I can be more clear:

In the OL2002 main window, I have set the following:

Tools/Options/Mail Format
Compose in HTML (OR MSWORD)
Use MS Word to edit – is UNchecked

Tools/Options/Spelling
Ignore original message text in reply or forward – is CHECKED

The original Message text is still checked.

If I change “compose in†to “plain text,†it ceases to check to original
message – but I lose font formatting.

I guess what I am looking for is either a UI solution or else a "yes-no"
answer. At that point, I will need to learn VBA. And my next question will
be how to do that, quickly and easily. I have done no kind of programming
since I learned machine and assembler languages a gazillion years ago.

none of the above.

I want OL2002 to (1) spellcheck my out-going messages, (1A) without
spellchecking the orignial message in replies and forwards; AND to (2) allow
bold, underlines, and subscripts in my outgoing message.

Now please read my last reply to you.

I was wrong: I am formatting outgoing messages in HTML; The original message
in a reply is not being spell-checked. That's good.

BUT I don't have access to subscript font. That was my original problem!

Can you help?
