I feel stupid but I cannot find the format button on word 2007

I am unable to find the formatting word as was on 2003. Where does in show up
so I can format a word or a paragraph. I am having trouble, when I hit enter
after typing a line it gives me double space I want it to be single space.
Can someone help.

The easiest way to get to the Paragraph dialog is to right-click and choose
Paragraph..., but you can also click on the dialog launcher (small arrow in
the bottom right corner) in the Paragraph group on the Home tab.

But you shouldn't be typing Enter at the end of a line anyway! Let the
computer break the lines where they need to break.
